Thornham Magna, ('Big Thorny Village') is a small village located in North Suffolk approx 6 miles from the border with Norfolk. The Market town of Eye, Suffolk is 3.5 miles (5.5 km) to the East and the larger town of Diss, Norfolk is located 6.5 (10.5 KM) to the North. The A140, an old Roman Road, is just over half a mile from the village and provides easy access to both Ipswich and Norwich along with the 'tourist routes' to the coast.
The village has a church called St Mary Magdelene and a 12th century inn called The Four Horseshoes.
Less than 5 minutes away (walking) is the Thornham Estate which offers 12 miles of footpaths.
